There are people who talk a good game and then there are the Washington DC women who just get it done. These women are actually driving policy, passing legislation and spearheading global movements. We gathered in DC with the support of Johnnie Walker to host a power salon for women in politics and policy but mixed in a healthy dose of entrepreneurs and creatives because, we believe that it’s also important to branch outside your usual circles and tap into different types of networks, ideas, and ways of doing things.
Our amazing mix of attendees included Adjoa Asamoah who spearheaded the Crown Act, Ayo Tometi co-founder of Black Lives Matter and Lisette Sanchez, She Should Run's Chief Operating and Impact Officer. And as we sipped Johnnie Walker cocktails with names like ‘seat of power’, we agreed that every leader has to use their position and influence to drive impact.
